Writing: Boss and Secretary

Students take turns writing a letter in pairs. One is the boss, giving dictation, and one is the secretary, taking it down. The letter is then exchanged for a letter from another pair of students. The roles change now: the reply is dictated by the student who was the secretary, and the letter is taken down by the student who was the boss. The teacher circulates to answer grammar questions and offer suggestions.
