Reading: Free Reading Lessons and Activities

I am first grade teacher in Chicago and I found this terrific website with early literacy activities and games. They even lay out an intervention program for struggling students. The activities/games are all divided into categories, such as letter sounds, sounding out, irregular words (sight words), and advanced phonics. And, there are tons of great downloads on the sight, like word cards, rhyming picture cards, and a word list generator. Everything is free and site users can easily contribute their own activities.
