The teacher is to choose any game (board games or card games) that comes with instructions. If not you could create your own instructions. The point of the activity is to have the students read and understand for themselves what the rules of the game are. After about five to ten minutes, students can play the game (the teacher should know the games in order to check their comprehension). It is better to make groups of four to five (depending on the game chosen) and have students figure out the rules together. After the game is played, you could even have each group teach other groups how to play their game. (if you think that most of the students will know the rules to certain games, you could make up different rules that they will have to read and understand).
