Private Teaching: Good reward system

One-on-one teaching can be hard sometimes if you can understand the language of the students. He/She may not speak English or even do the assignments. A good reward system I use is a sticker system... BUT... I use the stickers like money. The more stickers they have the better things they can choose. I give stickers if they speak English the whole time and if they do the assigned work extremely well. The children love this because they can choose what they want from a selection of stuff. I put the stickers a piece of paper that is nicely decorated with the child's name on it. At the end of the tutoring, I give the paper with all the stickers on it.
