Music: 2nd Conditional with the BNL

I have to give props to my friend Sam, she gave me this idea when we were teaching in the middle east. The Barenaked Ladies have a song off their first album 'Gordon' entitled 'If I Had A Million Dollars...'

Basically all of the lyrics are in the 2nd. Conditional structure (ie. "If i had a million dollars, I'd buy you a house...). I photocopy the lyrics for my students so they can follow as they listen. Depending on the class, you may even want to try a gap fill activity with the lyrics. The singing is quite clear and it's a fun song.

I've come across several teachers who use this as an aid for teaching this structure. Hope it works as well for you.
