Games: A Date With Bingo

Today I passed out a calendar with the months and the days of the week missing. I asked the students to help me label the months on the calendar and label their own calendars. I then asked them what else was missing and they figured out the days of the week were not on the calendar either. I had them say the days of the week and then we wrote them together.

Now for the fun part. I gave them a "bingo" card with 4 columns and 5 rows. I had them write the 12 months & 7 days of the week, plus a free space however they wanted to organize it. (I must note you may want to prepare the cards with the names already on it for younger grades as they seemed to stress out with where to put the names.) Then you take a bag & put the 12 months & 7 days of the week into it & draw out the names individually. Don't forget to give the student's beans or macarroni to help them mark the names you have already called. Good luck!
