Full-Time Instructor Position – October 2026 Start
YBM Language Institutes is seeking a dynamic and professional instructor to join its team of adult EFL educators at the YBM Sinchon branch in Seoul.
Working alongside an English-speaking academic supervisor, instructors receive comprehensive support to help adult learners achieve their language-development goals through Topic Discussion, Business English, and English for Academic Purposes courses.
Instructors use commercially published textbooks, standardized lessons and supplementary materials, as well as materials developed by teachers. Small-group and one-to-one classes offer meaningful teaching experiences and opportunities for continued professional development.
LOCATION & START DATE
YBM Sinchon, Seoul: October 2026
This is a full-time teaching position. The successful applicant must be available to attend paid training during the final week of September 2026. Teaching will begin on or around October 1, 2026.
Preference will be given to candidates who are currently residing in Korea and have experience teaching EFL in Korea.
BENEFITS
- Prepaid round-trip airfare to and from Korea for instructors hired from overseas
- Base salary of up to KRW 2.4 million per month, depending on adult EFL teaching experience
- Key money for the housing deposit, plus a monthly housing allowance
- Severance pay equal to one month’s salary for each completed year of employment

- Paid pre-service training and accommodation during the training period
- Employer contributions to Korea’s national health insurance and pension plans
WORKING HOURS
- Six 50-minute classes per day
- Up to 30 teaching hours per week
- Regular weekday schedule with classes on alternating Fridays and Saturdays
- Saturday teaching hours: 10:00 a.m.–12:50 p.m.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
- Have a positive, energetic, and professional attitude
- Demonstrate a student- and service-oriented approach
- Have formal EFL teaching experience with adult learners and/or hold a CELTA or TEFL certification
(preferred)
- Have online EFL teaching experience
(preferred)
- Hold a valid passport and an undergraduate degree from an accredited university in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom, or the United States
- Meet the requirements for an appropriate work visa in the Republic of Korea

- Scanned copy of a federal-level criminal record check issued within the previous six months, with an apostille attached
- Scanned copy of a university diploma with an apostille attached
- Recent photograph
- Confirmation of the applicant’s preferred starting date and location
Applicants currently residing or working in Korea should also submit:
- A scanned copy of their Alien Registration Card, front and back
- A signed and dated letter of release from their current employer, if applicable
- Copies of the documents previously submitted to the Korea Immigration Service
A complete set of application documents is required from all applicants, regardless of current visa status or previous length of stay in Korea. Interviews will only be scheduled after all required documents have been submitted by email.
