University of Hargeisa (UoH) is Somaliland's leading public university and one of the largest and most respected higher education institutions in the Horn of Africa. Located in Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland, the university serves thousands of students across a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including medicine, engineering, education, law, business, agriculture, information technology, and the humanities.

As part of its commitment to academic excellence and graduate employability, the University of Hargeisa has partnered with international educational consultancy, Ednastics, to establish the comprehensive English Mastery Program (EMAP); which equips students with the English language proficiency required for success in their university studies, professional careers, and participation in the global economy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
• Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in TESOL (Master's degree preferred).

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Previous in-person classroom teaching experience
• Strong digital literacy and confidence using educational technology
• Ability and enthusiasm to work with English language learners, demonstrating empathy, cultural awareness, and an understanding of second-language acquisition.
• Experience designing and delivering learner-centered instruction aligned with curricular objectives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a positive attitude, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to teaching.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Full-time (44 hours per week)
