JOB OPENING: Substitute Native English Instructor (Maternity Leave Cover)


Daeil Foreign Language High School, one of South Korea’s leading foreign language high schools, is seeking
an outstanding, devoted educator to teach conversational English to first- and second-year students at Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A BA degree (or higher) from an accredited institution in an English-speaking country
  • Preference will be given to applicants holding E-2, F-2, F-5, or F-6 visas (verifiable in advance), as well as those with EFL-related credentials and prior teaching experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS & COMPENSATION:

  • Contract Period            August 12, 2026 – November 9, 2026
  • Job Description          20 in-class hours per week teaching conversational English with 13 students or fewer per class
  • Weekly Schedule         Mon/Fri  9:20 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
                                         Tue          9:20 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
                                         Thu          10:20 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
                                   (Includes a daily lunch break from 12:10 p.m. – 1:10 p.m.; no classes scheduled on Wednesdays)
  • Salary                           2,345,310 KRW per month
  • Housing Allowance      200,000 KRW per month (Housing not provided)
  • Benefits                       National health insurance and paid leave during school exams and field trips
  • After-School Classes   Optional English writing, debate, conversation, etc. (Paid separately, subject to student enrollment)
  • Outside Employment    Permitted, provided it does not interfere with regular duties

  2. General physical examination record (including a TBPE drug test)
  3. Graduation certificate(s) and official transcript(s) (Undergraduate level and above)
  4. Original passport and Alien Registration Card
  5. Original diploma(s) and EFL-related certificate(s)
  • A Letter of Release is required after signing the contract (if applicable).
