Secondary History Teacher Position / Weekend ESL Teacher Positions in Yangon, Myanmar

Asia Language and British Alma (ALBA International School) is seeking an enthusiastic, Secondary Teacher to teach in Yangon, Myanmar with a June start date.

Job Details:

Secondary position-

1. Years 7-9 History
2. Work hours of 8:15am-3:45pm, Monday – Friday
3. Contract date: 15^th June 2026 – 15^th March 2027
4. Maximum of 25 contact hours per week

Weekend positions-

1. ESL classes available for all ages (4yrs-18yrs)
2. Work hours of 9:00am-5:30pm (Saturdays and Sundays) Part-time also available
3. Contract date: 6^th June 2026 (1 year)
4. Maximum of 5-15 contact hours per weekend (hourly paid at $22/hr)

Requirements:

1. Fluent in English
2. A bachelor’s degree in any field of study (Preferably Education)
3. A TESOL, TEFL or CELTA Certificate
4. Two years’ teaching experience (Those with less can still apply)
5. Must be a passport holder of the following countries: UK, USA, Canada, S. Africa, Australia or New Zealand

Job Offer:

1. Salary of $1,700 - $1,900 USD/month (Weekend position is hourly paid)
2. Housing provided near the school campus (Central Yangon)
3. Paid sick leave/paid national holidays
4. Airport pick-up and assistance with getting to know the area upon arrival
5. Business visas and work documents for all necessary government forms provided
