The American School Foundation of Chiapas (ASFC) is seeking a passionate and experienced International Elementary Teacher to join our multicultural learning community.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate, student-centered Elementary School Teacher to join our multicultural learning community. The successful candidate will inspire a love of learning, foster critical thinking, and support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students in a bilingual and internationally minded environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with curriculum standards and school expectations.

• Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that promotes student well-being and academic success.

• Foster inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.

• Assess student learning regularly and provide meaningful feedback to students and families.

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student achievement.

• Integrate technology and innovative teaching practices into daily instruction.

• Participate actively in school events, professional development, and community activities.

• Uphold and model the school's values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Empathy, Collaboration, and Global Citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).

• Valid teaching certification/license.

• Minimum of 2 years of successful elementary teaching experience.

• Native or near-native English proficiency.

• Experience in international schools, bilingual programs, IB PYP, or inquiry-based learning environments is highly desirable.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

• Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration.
