Visa Requirements: Applicants must reside in South Korea and have Korean nationality, an F-type visa, or an E-1 visa. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.

About the Role
Hanyang University is seeking innovative and experienced Content Developers and Teaching Staff (especially those able to do both) to join our team for first-year Physics courses taught in English. Senior year of high school physics teaching experience from the US, England or Australia (particularly AP) is also useful. This position involves a blend of developing engaging, student-centered course materials and teaching said materials along with other existing courses. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about education and experienced in creating practical, interactive content tailored for diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities
Development -
- Develop interactive and practice-based course materials in the field of physics and may include kinematics, dynamics, work energy and power, as well as electricity and magnetism such as magnetic induction and AC circuits.
- Create student-centered learning activities, including:
- Applied physics problems to real-world scenarios.
- Design pair and small group exercises and mini-projects to encourage and reinforce learning in a collaborative environment
- Collaborate closely with faculty to align materials with learning objective
- Adapt content to support a wife range of student abilties and learning styles
Teaching -
- Teach the content developed or/and on existing courses to 1st year university students, most of which have undeclared majors until their 2nd year of study.
- Collaborate with other developers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of university-level experience in teaching or developing materials in algebra or/and calculus-based physics.
- Proven ability to design hands-on, interactive learning experiences.
- Proficiency in the core areas of physics including Newton’s laws, conservation laws, kinematics and dynamics etc. Knowledge of circuit analysis beneficial via Ohm’s law and Kirchhoff’s laws.
- Deep understanding of active learning and inquiry-based instruction.
- Near-native or native-level English proficiency.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with blended or hybrid learning.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and learning management systems.
- Ability to create and align assessments with problem-solving and coding-based learning goals.
