Native English Teacher for Kindergarten/Elementary Hagwon in Gwangju

Hello!
We are a kindergarten and elementary hagwon based in Suwan, Gwangju. We are currently seeking one teacher for a September 1st 2026 start date. Please get in touch if you are currently in Korea and looking for a position at a new school.

We employ 11 native teachers, averaging 2-4 years with us. Below you can see some key information about our academy.

ℹ️ Key Information

• Salary - Minimum 2.65 million KRW/month
• Contract - 1 Year 
• Schedule - M-F 11-8 (M 11-6, Tu 11-4:30, W 11-5:15, Th 11-4:30, F 11-8)
• Housing provided by school, approximately 25 minutes walk from the school. Bus route available, cycling easy.
• Lively neighbourhood full of restaurants, bars, cafes, cinema, dept. store etc. (quiet in residential area)
• Quarterly report cards
• Minimal contact with parents
• Curriculum provided
• No lunch with students
• Native head teacher for easy communication
• Maximum class size - 12
• Ages 6-12, average 7
• Monthly field trips and themed activity days
• Pays into national health service, pension etc.
• Flight provided on completion of contract
• Severance payment on completion of contract
