Native English Teacher for Kindergarten in Gwangju (September 2025)

Hi! We are Brighton English Kindergarten/JLS  (Gwangsan Branch) in Gwangju, located in the Suwan neighborhood.

Brighton is an established kindergarten and elementary hagwon, in operation since 2012. We currently employ 12 native teachers, 11 teachers are on their second, third, or fourth contract with us. We are looking for one new teacher to replace a current teacher completing their contract in September.

• Location: Suwan-ro, Gwangju City
• Contract start date: September 1^st 2025
• Working hours: Mon-Fri 11:00-16:30/18:10/19:00 (dependent on day)
• Salary: Minimum 2.55 million KRW, based on experience
• Vacation: 11 days including summer/winter vacation, all red days
• Class size: 12 maximum
• Free school lunches: No care during lunch time
• Standard benefits: Severance pay, National pension, health insurance, flight tickets (both ways), and furnished apartment provided
• Foreign head teacher: to offer additional and understanding support
• Monthly field trips and themed activity days

You will be teaching kindergarten and elementary aged learners. A thorough discussion about the exact schedule and classes you will be teaching will be available in the interview stage.

Requirements

E-2 visa eligible (from US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa) with notarized Bachelor's Degree and background check (within 6 months).
