NATIVE ENGLISH-SPEAKING TEACHER RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT 2027 Academic Year

The Korean International School in Yanbian (KISY), located in Yanji City, Jilin Province, China, invites applications from qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated native English-speaking teachers for the 2027 academic year.

We are seeking an experienced educator who is passionate about English language education and committed to helping students develop their communication skills and global perspectives.

1. Position Available

• Position: Native English-Speaking Teacher
• Number of Vacancies: 1

2. Contract Terms and Working Conditions

1. Contract Period: Two years (March 1, 2027 – February 28, 2029)
2. Working Hours: 7:50 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
3. Teaching Load: Up to 22 teaching hours per week (Grades 1–12, elementary and secondary levels)
4. Summer and Winter Camps: 10 teaching hours during each vacation period
5. Teaching Responsibilities: English Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing
6. After-School Classes: Additional compensation will be provided for after-school teaching.

3. Salary and Benefits (Before Tax)

1. Base Salary

• CNY 14,350 per month (gross salary, before tax deductions)

2. Housing Allowance

• CNY 2,600 per month

3. Research Allowance

• CNY 250 per month

4. Teaching Qualification Allowance

• Valid Teaching License: CNY 1,000 per month
• CELTA, TESOL, or TEFL Certificate: CNY 500 per month
• Note: Qualification allowances cannot be combined. Only one allowance will be paid.

5. Semiannual Bonus

• Total Annual Bonus: CNY 14,350
• Equivalent to 50% of the monthly base salary, paid twice a year
• Each payment is subject to the completion of six months of service.

6. Contract Completion Bonus

• Total: CNY 28,700
• Accrued at the equivalent of one month's base salary per year
• Paid as a lump sum upon successful completion of the full two-year contract

7. Airfare Reimbursement

• Arrival Airfare: Up to CNY 4,000
• Return Airfare: Up to CNY 4,000
• Teachers who fail to complete the agreed contract period must reimburse the school for the arrival airfare.
• Note: This benefit does not apply to residents of Jilin Province.

8. Relocation and Initial Accommodation Support

• Relocation Allowance: CNY 500
• Temporary Hotel Accommodation upon Arrival: Up to CNY 1,000
• Note: These benefits do not apply to residents of Jilin Province.

4. Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Hold a bachelor's degree or higher from an English-speaking country and have at least two years of teaching experience.
2. Hold a valid passport from an English-speaking country, such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, or South Africa.

Preferred Qualifications

• Applicants currently working in China with a valid Z (Work) Visa will be given preference.
