Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in English, English Literature, Education,

Linguistics, or a related field

• Recognised teaching qualification

• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in an international school

• Experience teaching English as a First Language and Literature

• Experience in homeroom or pastoral care responsibilities

• Excellent spoken and written English

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• IB MYP experience

• Experience teaching graduating classes such as IGCSE, AS Level, A Level

General Paper, English Language, or English Literature

• Experience coaching students in Model United Nations, debate,

storytelling, IB Community Project, or IB Personal Project

The Role Includes

• Teaching high-quality English Language and Literature lessons

• Serving as a homeroom teacher and supporting students’ academic and

personal development

• Assessment, feedback, reporting, and communication with parents

• Safeguarding, student welfare, and effective student management

• Contributing to admissions, Open House, and wider school engagement

activities

• Conducting experiential lessons for prospective students during the school’s

monthly Open House weekends

• Participating actively in professional responsibilities, school events, meetings,

and the wider life of the school
