ESL Teacher - Public High School Sino-US Program (Zhengzhou)

Max. 18 hours per week teaching + 5 office hours (monitoring and assisting students)

18,000 RMB per month + accommodation paid + 10,000 RMB flight allowance

We are looking for an experienced NATIVE-ENGLISH teacher with strong background in ESL, with any additional experience in teaching for TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson, or SAT being a plus. Teachers who have experience teaching study skills and / or academic English preferred. High School teaching experience is STRONGLY preferred (at least 3 years teaching experience at any level is required to secure a work permit). 

THe highschool is ranked in the Top 5 in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province. All of the students in our Sino-US program will go abroad to study at university in the USA, Canada or UK.

Class sizes are limited to 25 students maximum and classes are 80 minutes long (including 10-minute break). Overtime is paid for hours > 72 hours in a month. All students are in grades 10 – 12.

Responsibilities:

• Working with colleagues to develop a syllabus.
• Developing lesson plans and adapting to students’ English ability.
• Diligent, punctual and with the students’ best interests at heart.

Contract starting 1st Sept 2026 (can be October depending on work permit issuance) until end of June 2026 - renewable on the agreement of both parties.

Individual (NOT SHARED) furnished accommodation is provided 15-minute walk from the school and close to subway. Winter holiday is paid in full.
