Leadership Mission International (LMI) is a faith-based nonprofit organization seeking mission-minded individuals to serve at The Leadership Center, our residential campus in Comayagua, Honduras. We work with young women in a leadership-focused academic program that integrates education, mentorship, and community development.

We are currently recruiting for the following 2026–2027 opportunities:

1) Teaching Fellowship (Primary Opportunity)

The Teaching Fellowship is a one-year, full-time residential program for individuals passionate about education, mentorship, and cross-cultural service. Fellows teach, mentor, and live alongside students, contributing to both their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English and/or other assigned subjects (4–5 hours daily)
  • Provide tutoring and academic support
  • Mentor and walk alongside students in daily life
  • Participate in community life and extracurricular activities

Start Date: August-September 2026

2) Academic Director (Leadership Role – 2 Year Commitment)

LMI is also seeking an Academic Director to provide strategic leadership for all academic programming. This role is designed for experienced educators with a background in academic leadership, curriculum development, and team management.

Start Date: August-September 2026

Our campus is located in a safe, rural environment in Honduras. Fellows live in community and help support a faith-centered, leadership-focused learning environment. Due to the nature of campus life, candidates should be adaptable, resourceful, and willing to live simply. Electricity, water, or Wi-Fi may occasionally be interrupted.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Native or fluent English speaker
  • Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or community development
  • Cross-cultural experience preferred
  • ESL/ELL teaching experience strongly preferred for the Fellowship
