Hey! We’re a primary school in Hangzhou looking for a native English speaker to teach oral English to Grades 1–3. This is a pretty sweet gig: no office hours, less than 15 teaching hours a week, and you get to actually have fun with the kids instead of just drilling textbooks.

If you like singing, playing games, telling stories, and getting little kids excited to speak English, you’ll fit right in. We’re all about learning through play.

The basics

· Location: Hangzhou, Zhejiang
· Start: September 2026 (exact date can be discussed)
· Grades: 1–3
· Schedule: Monday–Friday, no fixed office hours — just come in for your classes
· Teaching hours: less than 15 per week
· Class length: around 40 minutes

What you’ll do

· Teach oral English through games, songs, stories, role-play, and hands-on activities
· Help young kids build confidence and actually enjoy speaking English
· Keep the classroom positive, patient, and encouraging
· Work with Chinese co-teachers and join in school events like English corners or festivals

What we’re looking for

· Native English speaker (UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa)
· Bachelor’s degree or above
· At least 2 years of teaching experience OR a TEFL/TESOL/CELTA (120+ hours)
· Genuine love for teaching young children — patience, creativity, and a good sense of humor are a must
· Clean criminal record and good health (for the work visa)

What we offer

· Base salary: negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications
· Flight allowance: 5,000 RMB per year (paid after contract completion)
· Free furnished apartment (or housing allowance)
· Health insurance
· Paid Chinese public holidays + winter/summer breaks (pro-rated)
· Full work visa (Z-visa) sponsorship and relocation help
· A friendly team and ongoing support

Why Hangzhou?
Hangzhou is one of the nicest cities in China — West Lake, tea fields, good food, and a big expat community. It’s also super convenient: about an hour to Shanghai by high-speed train.
