English Language Specialist (English Language & Academic Support)

Position Overview

The Institute for Economic and Social Research (IESR) at Jinan University invites applications for the position of English Language Specialist to support talent development and cultural exchange initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

-Deliver high-quality English language instruction to students and faculty.

-Provide academic writing guidance for research papers, dissertations, and grant proposals.

-Assist in organizing international academic conferences, workshops, and cultural exchange programs.

-Contribute to the broader mission of talent cultivation and cross-cultural understanding within the institute.

Required Qualifications

-Native English speaker

-Age: Under 60 years old (at the time of application).

-Education: Master’s degree or above (English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field preferred).

-Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience.

-Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

Preferred Attributes

-Familiarity with Chinese academic culture or willingness to adapt.

-Experience in academic publishing or writing coaching.
