KIUM English Academy is seeking a native English teacher to join our team. We are located in Dongtan, Gyeonggi-do, and teach elementary and middle school students in a structured and supportive learning environment.

Our academy provides an established curriculum, teaching materials, and clear lesson guidelines to ensure consistent, well-organized classes.

About Dongtan

Dongtan is a modern residential city with beautiful parks, shopping areas, and convenient transportation. Express buses connect Dongtan to Seoul and Gangnam, and Dongtan SRT Station provides high-speed rail connections to major cities across Korea.

Position Details

• Start Date: Flexible – December 2026 preferred (earlier start possible

• Contract: 12 months

• Working Days: Monday–Friday

• Working Hours: 1:00 PM–8:00 PM

• Teaching Hours: Up to 25 hours per week

• Students: Elementary and Middle School (No Kindergarten)

• Curriculum: Established curriculum, teaching materials, and lesson guidelines provided

Salary & Benefits

• Base Salary: From KRW 2.3 million per month, negotiable based on experience and qualifications

• Housing Allowance: KRW 400,000 per month

• Total Monthly Compensation: From KRW 2.7 million

• Paid Vacation: 10 working days (2 weeks), plus Korean national holidays. Statutory annual leave entitlements will be honored in accordance with Korean labor law.

• Insurance: National Health Insurance and National Pension in accordance with Korean law

• Severance Pay: Provided in accordance with Korean labor law

Responsibilities

• Teach English lessons to elementary and middle school students

• Prepare lessons and classroom activities

• Follow the academy's established curriculum and teaching guidelines

• Monitor student progress and provide feedback

• Complete monthly student progress reports

• Attend staff meetings and collaborate with other teachers

Requirements

• Native English speaker

• Bachelor's degree or higher

• E-2 visa or an F-series visa permitting employment in Korea

• Applicants currently residing in Korea strongly preferred

• Previous teaching experience with elementary and middle school students preferred

• Experience teaching writing, including essay writing, is a plus

• Responsible, organized, and willing to follow an established teaching system
