Direct Hire - Elementary/Middle School Hagwon - Suwon

Smartree English Hagwon is hiring an enthusiastic, friendly teacher in Suwon!

Start date: last week of December 2026, 1 year contract.

Salary: Based on experience. No experience: starting at 2.2; One year experience: starting at 2.3. Salary can be negotiated during/after an interview.

Native English Speaker (E2 visa sponsorship - UK, Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa).

Hours: M/F 1:30-6:10, T/TH 1:30-7:20, W 2:00-7:30. No overtime. Our longest work days are around 6 hours!

Average 4/5 classes per day. Prep time 1:30 - 2:30, 50 minute classes from 2:30 to end of day with a 10 minute break between classes. A short and compact day at work!

Elementary (80%) and middle school (20%) students, ranging from beginner phonics to quite advanced speaking classes. Work mainly involves working through books with the students.

4 Korean teachers, 1 other foreign teacher.

Friendly working environment, young team of teachers.

10 days of vacation + red days off (if you work on a temporary holiday you will receive 150% daily pay).

5 sick days.

Wonderful housing provided (5 minute walk from the academy, choice of two options). 

50% medical insurance, 50% pension. Severance provided (after one year completed).

A one way flight will be provided if coming from abroad.

Location: 15 minutes from Suwon Station, 40 minutes bus from Sadang Station in Seoul.
