 Busan University of Foreign Studies, located in Busan, is looking for highly qualified, motivated, and dedicated foreign full-time faculty members to begin in the Fall semester, 2026.

  3. Qualifications

1) All applicants MUST be non-Korean nationals.

2) Applicants to the AI Foreign Language Education Center MUST have both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master's Degree from English-speaking countries.

3) Applicants to the AI Foreign Language Education Center MUST have at least two years of teaching experience at university or college level.

4) Applicants MUST meet all legal requirements for appointment as faculty at a private university in the Republic of Korea.

5. Documents required for the 1st screening

1) Signed application form (using the attached MS Word template), submitted as a single PDF

2) Resume

3) A copy of the applicant’s passport

4) Copies of bachelor’s, master’s degree of certificates & transcripts (mandatory); doctorate degree certificates (optional),

5) Certificate of Work Experience or Certificate of Employment related to the teaching or

research at a university or college level.

6. Document submission

1) All applications and required documents must be submitted via e-mail to

3) Incomplete applications or insufficient documentation will NOT be processed.

 

7. Interview

1) ONLY those who pass the document screening conducted by the BUFS recruitment committee will be considered for an interview. (Only candidates selected for an interview will be notified individually.)

2) The detailed interview schedule, including interview date and location, will be sent via e-mail. Candidates who do not receive notification should assume they were not selected.

3) Interviews, followed by a teaching demonstration, are scheduled for mid-August 2026.

8. Employment information

1) Period of Employment : September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2028 (Reappointment is possible based on the faculty performance evaluation.)

2) Benefits

-Housing allowance KRW 400,000 per month

-Basic Medical Coverage to be provided through National Health Insurance

-Pension coverage
