The EFL Department at The George Washington University offers four levels of intensive EFL, one level of semi-intensive EFL, and one level equivalent to Freshman Composition. Supplementary courses in Advanced Oral Conversation, Pronunciation, and American Film are offered as well.

To complement language instruction, seminars in American Studies directly expose students to the diverse political and social landscape of the United States.
