QUALIFICATIONS
1. Does not have reasons for disqualification under Article 10-4 of the Public Officials Act and Article 52 of the Private School Act
2. A master's degree or above (including those who will obtain a master's degree before February 29, 2020)
-To avoid disqualification, applicants who are expected to obtain a master's degree must submit them by the deadline.
3. Can teach fluently in English
4. Able to responsibly educate and research at the university from the date of appointment for each recruitment period.

Job Description
Assistant Professor of EFL (HALLYM UNIVERSITY)
Hallym University, a university in Korea, is seeking candidates with a strong background in teaching English at all levels. The Liberal Arts School of Hallym University, located in Chuncheon, Korea, is committed to fostering a diverse, globalized, and inclusive community, and strongly encourages all qualified individuals to apply.
The employment contract will begin on March 1, 2020. The responsibilities include teaching intensive English courses, such as Critical Thinking and Argumentation, Academic English (both fundamental and intermediate levels), Selected Readings and Analysis, International Affairs and Global Perspectives, etc., to university students, most of whom have strong English proficiency. Teaching duty include a minimum of 15 class-hours per week and other administrative work, as requested.
Special preferences will be given to native speakers of English with some Korean language proficiency. A successful candidate will have a doctorate in TESOL or English, or a master’s degree with more than two years of full-time teaching experience at the university level.
An annual employment contract will be renewable based on successful evaluation of teaching and/or related services. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with credentials, but the university will guarantee the following package:
a) Salary will start at approximately KRW 3,100,000/month (KRW 37,200,000/year).
b) Private school pension, health insurance, and other benefits based on Korean employment regulations.
c) Up to 50% discount on out-of-pocket medical expenses at hospitals affiliated with the university.
