Pyeongtaek English Education Center is Seeking A Qualified Native English Instructor

The Pyeongtaek English Eudcation Center (PEEC) is an organization under the Pyeongtaek International Exchange Foundation (PIEF). PEEC is seeking a responsible and competent native English speaker to fill the role of Instructor for the English Education Center.

**Duties**
The PEEC Native English Instructor Responsibilities include the following:
- Carry out English class(es) and activities (e.g., regular after-school classes, morning classes, English Camps, Adult Classes, English fairs and English contests, extra-curricular classes, etc.) and participate in demonstration classes and trainings.
- Prepare teaching materials and lesson plans for the assigned English class(es)
- Assist and lead the development of teaching materials, curriculums/books related to English language education.
- Assist and lead other extracurricular activities such as editing or creating English documents, judging contests, conducting teacher training, joining to workshop, working at English camps, etc.
- Perform duties designated or requested by PIEF related to English education or training, or team-building

**Qualifications**
- Citizen of a country where English is the primary language spoken and able to obtain an E2 visa in Korea
- A bachelor’s degree
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- The ability to effectively and cooperatively work in a team setting
- The flexibility to work in a culturally diverse environment

**Salary and Benefits**
- The Employee shall be paid the amount set forth on contract. However, the Korean income tax, residence tax, medical insurance premium, the national pension contribution, and any other tax or withholding mandated by the various levels of government (and/or applicable to the Employee) shall be deducted each month from the Employee’s salary.
- The Employee's salary shall be liable for paying Korean Income Tax which will be finalized through the year-end tax settlement. If the Employee’s agreement ends in the middle of the taxable year, the Employee's income tax due is finalized for the salary received until the month of retirement based on the report of exemption and deduction from income submitted by the Employee.
- The Employee’s salary shall be paid on the last day of each month. If the last day is a Saturday, Sunday or national holiday, the pay day will be the preceding business day.
- If the Employee should be absent from work, for whatever reason, without having obtained prior approval from the Employer, the Employee’s salary for that month shall be prorated according to the corresponding number of unauthorized absent days.
- The Employee shall not claim against the Employer any compensation and/or payment other than those provided for in this Agreement.
- Employer will provide the Employee an Economy Class Ticket for the flight to Korea,
- Employer shall cover the flight ticket by including it in the Employee’s first onth’s income. Air tickets provided cannot be exchanged for cash equivalents.
- The arrival date shall be discussed and decided between the Employee and the Employer. The flight ticket to Korea is not offered to Employees who are renewing their Agreement or are already hired within Korea. If an Employee is hired within Korea and the Employee is sent to Japan to complete the E2 visa, then the Employer shall provide round-trip tickets and will reimburse 100,000 won to cover the cost of the visa.
- If the Employee successfully completes his/her duties set forth in this Agreement for the full Term of Employment, the Employer will provide the Employee an Economy Class Ticket for the flight from Korea to point of departure, such as the closest feasible airport to Employee’s home city.
