 Seoul/ Non-tenure Track Assistant Professor Position

The Creative Convergence Education Center of Hanyang University in Korea, is seeking ONE experienced, qualified candidates to fill a position as non-tenure track EFL full-time faculty, beginning in September 2019.

Job Title: Non-tenure track assistant professor (2-year contract, renewable)

Requirements and Qualifications

Only candidates meeting these requirements will be contacted:
- Must meet the requirements for E-2, or F-visa status.
- Master¡¯s degree from an accredited university in TESOL, TESOL related areas, Education, English, or Linguistics
- Engineering/technology related areas preferred
- PhD or EdD, with experience taken into account but not required

Experience must be:
- A minimum of two years successful ESL/EFL/ESP full time English teaching at the college level
- Primary or secondary level outside of Korea is acceptable with teaching licensure
- Verifiable letters from employers with explicit dates of certificates of employment

The preferred candidates must communicate effectively and perform well during the interview process, which also includes a teaching demonstration.

Job Description

The successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate level courses for a total of 12 hours (up to 17) per week in core and elective English courses. One evening class and overtime teaching hours may be required. Additional office hours and regular faculty meetings are also expected.

Additional responsibilities include counseling students; providing service to the College English Education Committee of Hanyang University; and other assignments as designated by the Program Chair.

Salary range: Competitive salary commensurate with experience

Additional Salary information: Benefits provided include furnished housing (or KRW 300,000 of monthly housing allowance).
