** Mokpo National University Seeking Qualified English Instructor for September 1st, 2019 **

The Institute of International Exchange & Education (IIEE) of Mokpo National University, which is located on the south west coast of Korea, is seeking qualified and experienced native English speaking applicants to work full-time as English language instructors starting September 1st, 2019.

1. QUALIFICATIONS (One or more of the following :)

Level 1: Masterís Degree or higher in TESOL, Linguistics or English Literature

Level 2: Masterís Degree or higher in any field or a Bachelorís in Education, TESOL, or Linguistics

Level 3: Bachelorís Degree in any field and 2 yearsí teaching experience

* Applicants must be a native speaker of English from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the U.K., the U.S.A., or South Africa

2. Contract Period
From September 1st, 2019 to August 31st, 2020 - with the possibility of renewal

3. Salary & Overtime

-Salary: 2,200,000 ~ 2,400,000 won per month depending teaching experience and qualifications
- Schedule: 20 class hours per week from Monday through Friday; no work on
weekends
- Classes: Credit & non-credit university English classes, including elementary school camp during summer and winter vacation.
- Vacation: a minimum of 7 weeks paid vacation
- Overtime: 23,000 won/hour

4. ACCOMMODATION AND BENEFITS
- A furnished on-campus studio apartment
- Return airfare provided for out of country applicants (half paid on arrival, half paid when leaving Korea upon completion of final contract). For those already in Korea, 800,000 won will be paid upon completion of final contract
- Severance Pay: one full monthís salary at the end of the contract period
- Medical Insurance & National Pension: 50% paid by the employer
- A private office with computer and Internet access

5. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
- A full resume / CV with a recent photo
- A cover letter that should include, at least, academic qualifications, teaching experience, and contact information for 2 references
- At least one letter of reference

If selected for an interview, candidates must bring the following:
- A scanned copy of transcripts
- Scanned copies of undergraduate and graduate diplomas
- A copy of passport (photo/information page)
- A copy of Korean alien registration card (front and back), if currently residing in Korea

- Original academic diplomas and transcripts, an apostilled criminal record
check, and subsequent medical check (in Korea) will be required of the
successful candidate for the visa issuance process.
