Great Gig in Beautiful Busan, South Korea

Date: Monday, 8 April 2019, at 6:43 p.m.

Hi! My academy is looking for a new English teacher! I¡¯m Nate, the English teacher you¡¯ll be replacing. I¡¯ll vouch for it, it¡¯s a great school with great management. Scarlet, the director is very accommodating. There¡¯s no pressure, actually they encourage thinking outside the box and playing games. As long as the kids are speaking English and the curriculum gets covered, there¡¯s plenty of creative license. That¡¯s what I¡¯ve loved the most about this job.

Here¡¯s the basic info:

1. You¡¯ll be working Monday to Friday from 1:30 to 8:30 (generally). The schedule is flexible within those constraints. Usually classes start just after 2:00pm and there¡¯s often a spare in there, so you¡¯re not always teaching the whole time. And 8:30 is the latest. Sometimes you¡¯ll finish earlier.
2. Salary is 2.3 - 2.4 million won. Plus, upon completion of the 12 month contract, you¡¯ll receive a severance payment.
3. You¡¯ll be teaching at 3 different branches of the academy. The main branch is in Sajik, where you¡¯ll teach for 3 days. 1 day will be spent at GeumGok and 1 day at BanYeo. Personally, I enjoyed the experience of branching out to different schools.
4. Medical insurance is available. In my case, it¡¯s a 50/50 split between me and the school. Same with pension.
5. Housing is provided, or subsidized if you already have accommodations.
6. You¡¯ll get 10 vacation days, including the school holidays.
7. Sick leave: 3 days.
8. The cost of your flight will be reimbursed both ways. If you¡¯re already in Korea and don¡¯t need a flight, the school will provide you with some extra cash. Just because they¡¯re cool like that!

So, send me your resume! I will say, the academy is only looking for teachers who are eligible for an E2 visa. That includes being a native English speaker, having a university degree and no criminal record.

Also, it would be great if you could send a picture and let me know your nationality and when you can start.
