Part-time job opportunities at Pyeongtaek University’s Graduate School of Translation and Interpreting Program

The Graduate School of Translation and Interpreting (GSTI) at Pyeongtaek University is a postgraduate program specializing in training professional interpreters and translators. The School is currently inviting native English speakers to teach GSTI students English writing and speaking in the second semester of 2018.

Job type:
Part-time instructors to teach two courses
1) Courses to teach: English writing (Wednesday 7:00-8:30pm), Topic discussion/debate (Wednesday 8:30-10:00pm) (two class hours per course)
2) Starting date: last week of August 2018, unless otherwise informed
3) Salary: Approximately 53,000 Korean won per class hour

1) Applicants must hold at least master’s degree in English, Education, Humanities or Social Sciences
- Native English speakers who currently reside in Korea
- Native English speakers who have completed secondary and university education in US, UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
2) Two or more years of teaching experience at university level (preferably at graduate level)

Required documents:
1) Your latest curriculum vitae, and a cover letter that highlights your teaching experience and evidence of teaching excellence in English writing and speaking courses
2) Photocopies of official diploma and transcripts (BA, MA, and PhD if applied)
3) A photocopy of passport (the page with the photo of the applicant)
4) A photocopy of alien registration card

Additional Information:
The applicants successful in the document screening process may be requested to give a short demonstration of teaching (approximately 10-15 minutes)
