FSES is looking for a motivated native English teacher to start in early February 2018. Teachers with experiences of having taught English in Korea are preferred. Some of the benefits of working for our school include:

Location Yangpyeong is located in Gyeonggi Do, only 30 minutes from central Seoul by train but with excellent access to quiet countryside areas. The town is located on the banks of the South Han River, with two attractive riverside parks and all the amenities one may expect from a mid-sized town. Besides the Korail train service, it is also on the Gyeongeui-Joongang subway line.

Housing We will provide modern up-to-date housing.

Management The school owners are both American (Korean American) and Korean. They favor a hands-off management style, but are always available to assist teachers if needed.

Students We teach students of all ages, from kindergarten to adults. Our class sizes are small a maximum of 10 but some are smaller than that. Our teachers see the same students at the same times every day, Monday to Friday, allowing them to make a lot of progress together in a short time.

Curriculum We use internationally produced textbooks but teachers have a lot of freedom to teach the material however they want. There is space within the curriculum for teachers to implement their own ideas.

Team We are a small school, with a tight knit team who maintains a close a supportive working relationship.

Salary starting from KRW 2.1M and negotiable

Hours and conditions We work from 10AM to 5:30 or 6PM on Mondays & Fridays and 10AM to 7PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, which include preparation time. There is no weekend work and no split shifts.
