Part-Time Faculty, English for Academic Purposes

George Mason University, Korea invites applicants for Part-time Faculty, English Language instructor to teach integrated skills (e.g., reading/writing and listening/speaking) in our English for Academic Purposes courses.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of a master’s degree in TESOL/TEFL or a related field from an accredited institution with coursework that includes: language teaching methodology, the nature of language/languages (e.g., introduction to linguistics), the structure of English (e.g., syntax, phonology, morphology, discourse), second language acquisition, intercultural competence and practicum experience.

• Successful experience teaching English for General or Specific Purposes using a content-based instruction approach to adult learners (a minimum of three years is strongly desired) at a reputable college or high school.
Employment is contingent upon providing official documentation of degrees earned and a certified third-party translation and evaluation of academic transcripts.
