Korea International School Jeju Campus - Admissions/Public relations Coordinator

The Korea International School Jeju Campus is searching for a professionally minded individual with interview / assessment experience and U.S. college admissions procedures to serve as the KIS Jeju Admissions / Public Relations Coordinator. The selected candidate should be available to start as of July 1, 2017 to commit to a two-year (renewable) employment agreement.

Salary and Benefits:
• 3 million Korea Won per month (TAX FREE)
• Finishing bonus at the end of the 2-year term
• 1-bedroom furnished apartment
• 20 days paid vacation per year

• Severance pay equal to one month’s salary for each year of employment
• Employer contributions to national medical insurance and pension plans

Contract/Working conditions
• 8:00~5:00pm Mon~Fri
• Contract starting July 1, 2017
• Minimum 2-year contract

Qualifications:
• Hold a valid passport and undergraduate diploma from U.S or Canada
• Professional, pleasant, energetic outlook and demeanor.
• Great communication and organization skills
• Knowledgeable with PowerPoint, Google Docs
• Interview, testing, assessment experience
• Student service oriented experience
• Knowledge of SAT, PSAT, SSAT, MAP tests preferred
• Graphic design experience preferred

Job Description
• Communicates schedule for large-group admissions testing with overseas support faculty and
other divisions as needed
• Rolling admissions - conducts testing/interviews for applicants
• Transcript follow-up/procurement for oversea schools
• Reviews and adjusts admissions testing procedures as needed in collaboration with faculty and
admissions team
• Assists newly accepted students in their orientation process: communicates any information needed to
support their integration to advisor and dorm team
• Conducts exit interviews with leaving students
• Follows up with grade-level teams to receive feedback on new students
• Creates templates for keynote, PowerPoint, Google Docs (for prospectuses, course guides, school letters etc.) to be available to staff
• Reviews current/new publications and edits for alignment, usability
• Makes all English-language publications easily available in electronic formats to relevant stakeholders
• Plans school tours to meet needs of different visitors
• Work with HS student ambassadors club to provide student-led tours
• Produces articles for English-language media (Jeju Weekly, International School magazines, Korea Herald)
• Maintains KIS Jeju Twitter account
• Manages and revises website information framework as needed
• Reviews and edits English-language content in collaboration with relevant departments
• Seeks regular content from students, administrators, teaching faculty and dorm staff for specific sections to be dynamic and up-to-date
• Attends school-wide events to create new content (short videos etc.) and write descriptions for photo albums on the website
• In collaboration with IT department and relevant faculty and staff, reviews current spread of websites
and creates framework/templates for improved alignment
• Gathers documents and letters for counselors with transferring students studying abroad
• Assists the Registrar in admissions documentation
• Assists with new teacher orientations
• Other duties as assigned by the Academic Head and Executive Director

with affixed apostille (notarized copy of a fingerprint-based RCMP check for Canadian citizens).
• Scanned copy of university diploma with affixed apostille (notarized for Canadian citizens).
• Recent photo.
• If residing / working in Korea: scanned copy of Alien Registration Card (front and back).

The complete set of documents is required for all applicants, regardless of current visa status and prior length of stay in the Republic of Korea. No interviews will be scheduled unless all the documents listed above are submitted via email. Successful candidates will be required to visit the KIS Jeju campus for interview.
