Two American EFL Teachers (Part-time) Currently Residing in Seoul Wanted (for March 1 Start)

Dr. Harrison Lee’s IC English Center, an English language institute located in Seoul, is currently seeking two qualified American native English-speaking teachers who would be teaching phonics and communicative English language classes to Korean elementary school children on a part-time basis. The Center is conveniently located near the Gireum subway station on line 4 (the blue line).

Start Date: March 1, 2017

Contract Type: Part-time

Location: Gireum-dong, Seoul (near the Gireum subway station on line 4)

Teaching Hours:

Position 1: 2:30 pm - 7:00 pm on M, W, and F for elementary school classes
7:00 pm – 8:30 pm on M, F for middle school classes
6:15 pm – 8:30 pm on T, Th for middle school classes
Total Teaching Hours Per Week: 21 hours

Position 2: 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm on M, W, F for elementary school classes
4:00 pm – 6:15 pm on T, Th for elementary school classes
Total Teaching Hours Per Week: 13.5 hours

Note: Teaching hours are negotiable at the time of the interview.

Remuneration: 28,000 won per hour

Classes to Be Taught: 1. Phonics (one class)
2. Communicative English
3. IC


The candidate must

1. hold a valid passport and a baccalaureate (bachelor’s) or a higher degree. Only E-2, F-5, or F-6 visa holders are wanted.
2. be a native speaker of American English.
3. currently reside in Seoul or its vicinity.
4. have EFL teaching experience with elementary school children
5. have a positive outlook and energetic demeanor.
