ABOUT ELITE ENGLISH ACADEMY
Elite English School is Canadian owned and operated. At Elite English, education is first and foremost on our agenda. As a professional educator you will be given full support, and can avoid the problems that may arise from Korean owned schools. We are looking for a professionally minded teacher that is independent and self sufficient.
CURRICULUM
Elite English Academy students range from elementary 1st grade through to Middle school. We employ reading-based communicative teaching methods. Phonics, reading comprehension, conversation, grammar, and writing are covered through different materials such as storybooks, Lets Go, English Time and leveled grammar textbooks.
The curriculum is very organized and structured with plenty of support. Teachers are provided with quiz and homework booklets for the main reading books, teacher's guides, monthly curriculum sheets, as well as supplementary materials.
CHEONAN CITY
The tightly-packed city center is surrounded by small mountains. The main tourist attraction is the nearby "Independence Hall," a collection of patriotic museums, monuments and gardens, including "the museum of Japanese Aggression." Cheonan is a modern city with many western restaurants. We are a 35 minute KTX ride to Seoul. The bus takes an hour.

Teaching Candidate
- Native English speaker (At this time an F-21 or F-4 Visa holder only, as E-2 Visa process takes too long for this teaching position)
- Bachelor's university degree
- TESOL Certificate preferred
- Teaching experiences preferred
- Enthusiastic, friendly, positive, hard-working, patient and professional
- Team oriented and enjoys teaching children
Monthly salary with single housing: 2.2 to 2.8 million won to be paid on the 1st of every month.
Benefits:
- Furnished single accommodation (if required, or increase in pay to compensate)
- Severance pay at the end of 1 year contract (equivalent to one month's salary)
- Vacation - 10 working days in addition to all national holidays. I full week in the summer and one full week in the winter
- Set curriculum provided - main books, tests, quizzes, homework books, monthly curriculum, etc.
- Training and orientation provided (class observations as well as one on one workshops)

Working Conditions:
- 6 classes daily (Monday - Friday) classes are 40 minutes each
- Teaching hours are from 3:30 p.m. to 8:05 p.m.
- Age group: 1st grade elementary to middle school students
- 10 students per class (max is 12 students)
- Contract term: one year
- Classroom setup: Teachers have their own classrooms
