Teacher Training Government Position
Chungnam Institute of Foreign Language Education (CIFLE) in Gongju, South Korea, is looking to hire teachers for teacher training program and student English program.

Qualifications:
- Native English speakers from USA, UK, Ireland, Canada (excluding Quebec), Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.
- Minimum university degree and teaching certificate (TESOL, CELTA, or certified teacher) and 1 year teaching experience.
- Experience and tertiary education affect remuneration.

Salary:
2.7 - 3.1 million Won plus overtime pay

Housing:
Furnished 1 bed apt. with a bed, an air conditioner, 3p-table set, sofa, 3p-desk set, wardrobe, gas range, refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, TV set, and vacuum cleaner.

Location: Gongju, Chungnam Province. A city is well-known for excellent educational environment, which is surrounded by mountains and archeological sites as the previous ancient capital of Korea. It takes around one and half hour from Seoul, the capital of S. Korea by express bus.

Teacher Training Description
You will teach in-service elementary and secondary school Korean English teachers. The programs focus on improving their English proficiency and teaching techniques with classes of teaching methodology, teaching skills, communication skills, writing, reading, lesson planning, lesson analysis, mircro-teaching, materials and techniques
And you will also teach elementary and secondary school students, depending on annual schedule.

Work Schedule:
- maximum 26 hours in the classroom per week Mon to Fri, usually around 20 hours
- office hours are kept from between classes from 9-6 for preparing and revising
- for teacher training position, that is, one-month sessions and 2 week sessions throughout the year
- 14 business days are allotted for vacation
- may occasionally have 1-2 hours of evening classes 1 or 2 times a week with extra pay at a rate of 20,000won per hour

Length of Contract: 1 year, starting on December 25, 2009
