1. Primary G1 Homeroom Teacher Needed at an International Bilingual School in Beijing: ¥ 20k-¥30k/Month after Tax plus ¥6k Housing Allowance (ASAP Start)

A leading Chinese international bilingual school in Beijing is looking for qualified teachers to start as soon as possible. The school offers an attractive salary and benefits package. Salaries range from ¥20k to ¥30k per month after tax, and class sizes are under 25 students.¥6,000 accommodation allowance per month is provided, as well as free lunch with both Western and Chinese options. Teachers only work 182 days per school year, 2 weeks paid training and ample holidays which allows to travel, and the school will reimburse round-trip flights. Comprehensive international health insurance and Z-visa (work permit) sponsorship are provided. The contract period is 2 years. This position requires teaching certificate or license and previous homeroom teaching experience. IB experience is a plus.

Salaries range from ¥22k to ¥30k per month before tax which includes housing allowance. Class sizes are around 20 students. The school provides fully paid Chinese national holidays, 2-3 weeks winter holiday and 3-4 weeks summer holiday, 2 weeks Christmas holidays and 1 week spring holiday. The school also provides ¥8k per year as flight reimbursement. Comprehensive medical insurance and work visa are sponsored by school. There will be on-site training for new teachers. The contract period is 1 or 2 years. The work schedule is from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

3. English Teachers at Training Schools in Beijing: ¥20K-¥28K after Tax plus ¥4K Housing Allowance

A training school in Beijing is looking for foreign teachers to join 70 other foreign teachers. Class sizes are less than 15 students, with ages ranging from 5-16 years old. Each lesson is 45 minutes to 60 minutes. The teaching hour per week is less than 30 hours and the work schedule is 5:30pm to 8:30pm during weekdays and 9:30am to 8:30pm on weekends. 2) How does your service work? Does it cost anything?

After you submit your application and go through an initial screening interview, we put you directly in touch with the school which you will be interviewing with. 3) Do I need experience to teach in China?

We often have entry-level positions that require little to no prior experience. You will, however, have to have a TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate to qualify for most of these positions. Often new teachers first start at a training center and move into other schools as they gain experience.

4) What is the process like once I sign a contract?

Once you sign a contract you will begin the Z-visa process in your home country. This process takes 4-6 weeks to complete. Prior to entry into China your school will help to arrange either temporary accommodation while you look for an apartment, or in the case of some schools, help you move into an apartment that is provided by the school. Your school will have a person who is there to help you with basic things such as setting up a bank account, getting a SIM card, etc. Facebook, Reddit and other social media sites offer great resources for connecting with other teachers living in your city.
