Looking for a full time teacher to start IMMEDIATELY in BINJIANG, HANGZHOU, ZHEJIANG, CHINA
First, just so you know I own and operate the school with my Chinese partner and you will be in direct contact with me for the entire interview and hiring process. I am not a recruiter and you would be working directly with me everyday if you came to work with us at Kid Lingual.
About Our School and Our Aims
Kid Lingual English is located in Hangzhou, a thriving area of one of the most exciting and interesting cities in China. In addition to being the headquarters of internet giant Alibaba, Hangzhou is home to West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was recently the host city for the summit leaders meeting for the G20 conference, and is also China’s most famous tea-growing region. Today’s Chinese population widely considers Hangzhou to be the most desirable city to live in and Marco Polo called it the “the City of Heaven” saying it was “the most beautiful and magnificent in the world.” There is an abundance of scenic beauty and endless opportunities to explore outdoors. Hangzhou has a large and active ex-pat population, creating a welcoming community for newcomers from abroad. We have an especially tight knit group of expat and Chinese friends in Hangzhou who would look forward to meeting you.
Kid Lingual English was established in 2011 and currently enrolls over 400 students, more than a 500% increase since the current leadership team (an American- Chinese partnership) took over in 2014. This leadership team, which is an equal partnership between a Chinese and American couple, provides a well-rounded perspective through which problems, goals and solutions are all filtered. One of our main goals is to provide a working environment where all our team of staff, Chinese and expats, feel that as part of a family we are all equally supported, respected, heard and understood. This strong bond of friendship, respect and trust provides a healthy environment where we can all work together for the continuous growth and improvement of the school, the students and ourselves. Teachers and other team members are attracted to Kid Lingual because of its dedication to self-awareness, self-reflection and constant and never ending improvement. Because of our growth and success, this year we have expanded to a brand new and beautiful location. Completing the move in April of 2018 we expanded our space to over 500sq meters and created a more ideal environment for our students and parents to learn in and also for all of our staff to work and grow in. Expanding to a bigger more beautiful campus means we now need additional passionate and dedicated English teachers. That’s where you come in! Below is some information about our generous benefits, and expectations for the position. 1. Maximum teaching hours a 22 per week, plus office hours
2. 2 full days off per week
3. Normal class size limited to a maximum of 10 students
4. Most students range in age from 3-15
5. All teaching materials, resources, curriculum, training and support provided
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Native English Speaker
3. Teaching Experience
4. TESOL/TEFL/CELTA Certificate
5. Young learners or relevant teaching experience
Salary and Benefits:
*We offer a competitive first year salary range up to 17,000 RMB/ month based on a maximum of 22 teaching hours.
*Assistance for every new teacher in finding accommodation that suits their preferences and a monthly housing allowance.
*Z working visa and Foreign Expert Certificate are sponsored by the school compliant with local laws.
*A minimum of 22 paid holidays, including statutory and school holidays.
*Accident insurance provided.
*Contract completion + performance bonus.
*Training upon arrival with continued additional teacher development and team building exercises throughout the year.
*Subway / other public transportation easily accessible from both locations.
*Higher Starting pay considerations made based on previous relevant experience.
