International Montessori Kindergarten Principal

Currently, the school is searching for candidates to fill the Principal
position(s).

Responsibilities:

CRITERIA

TASK

Classroom Management

l Manage your teaching assistants to ensure that they are up-to-date and
organized so as to ensure a smooth running of the school.

l Assist in managing the daily operations of the campus.

staff that you work with.

l Provide opportunities for staff and assistants to share their ideas and
program developments.

l Identify professional development needs of the assistants and
request/provide appropriate training.

l Participate in and help develop orientation programs for teaching
assistants and yourself.

activities.

l Monitor and evaluate your own performance and needs and continually
strive for self-improvement.

l Promote and the school, its mission statement and educational
philosophies.

l Take an active role to promote the business interests of the
International School.

l Assist in the organization of and promote attendance at the community
activities.

Communication

l Maximize the free flow of information with parents, the administrative
office and other staff

l Communicate with parents and be well prepared for parent conferences,
workshops and demonstrations as requested by the administrators, managers
and directors.

l Promote constructive communication between staff and between students
and staff.

l Attend all staff meetings and training sessions and actively
participate, at times taking on leadership role.

Leadership and Guidance

l Encourage the communication between staff, parents and administration so
that all parties are presenting a united image of the School.

l Participate in the orientation of new teachers and teaching assistants

l Encourage your teaching assistants to be organized with regards to time
management and the general administration of the class.
