Starbugs is looking to recruit several teachers/curriculum developers to teach and develop material for primary-aged English learners. At Starbugs, we teach English in a different way-creatively. We believe that kids learn English best when they can read and talk about real and interesting stories - the classics of children's litterature. We teach kids using children's story books, classics like: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Where The Wild Things Are and The Snowy Day. We provide you with full training including one-on-one training, teacher-development seminars, classroom observation time and a prepared curriculum. In addition, there are many opportunities for you to be involved in developing new curricula, workshops and programs for our students and parents. Our classes are small and student centred; each class has a maximum of 10 students. What we require:

. Native English speaker from USA or Canada only
. Bachelor's degree
. TEFL certificate or 2 years related teaching experience with grades 1-7
. Clean criminal record
. Highly motivated to teach young learners 5-12 years of age
. Familiarity with Western children's literature (picture books or chapter books)
. Cross-cultural sensitivity for working with Chinese staff, students, and families
. Outgoing, creative, passionate about teaching
