CSCIEE English Immersion Program
Job Description

CSCIEE English Immersion Program is sponsored by China Study Center for International Educational Exchange (CSCIE, www.csciee.org), a subsidiary of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE, www.ceaie.edu.cn ) under the Ministry of Education of P.R. China. The program is designed for school students to upgrade their English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills as well as to acquire a better knowledge of English-speaking countries, their cultures and societies. Native speakers of English are invited to teach as foreign teachers at the project schools in Beijing.

I. Job Vacancies:
Two foreign teachers are needed to start teaching in early November.

II. Qualifications:
Desirable candidates are native speakers from major English-speaking countries, who have Bachelor/Master�fs degrees and teaching experiences with children or can demonstrate abilities in teaching.

III. Salary, Benefits and Services (full-time, 10-month contract):
1. Salary: Instructors will get RMB6,000 per month based on teaching 16 hours per week. For the month(s) in which they teach less than a full month, they will be paid according to the specific number of working days. Salary will be paid in RMB on the first Friday of the second month. 70% of the salary can be converted into foreign currencies at Bank of China. (Note: the current exchange rate between USD and RMB is roughly 1:7.)
2. Housing: Each instructor will be provided with a free, private apartment convenient to travel to the teaching location. The apartment has an air-conditioned bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom with shower. The apartment is furnished with basic furniture and has a TV set, a refrigerator and a washing machine.
3. Airfare: Instructors' international airfare will be reimbursed with the maximum amount of RMB8,000. Instructors already in China will get a reimbursement of RMB4,000 for their domestic trips. Free pick-up at the airport can be arranged upon arrival.
4. Insurance: An accident insurance will be purchased for the instructors.
5. Travel Subsidy: Each instructor will get RMB2,200 as a travel subsidy upon completion of the contract.
6. Visas to China: Instructors will be provided with relevant official documents, which will help them apply for their work visas at the Chinese embassy or consulate-general close to the locations of their current residence. They will be issued �gZ�h work visa or �gF�h business visa to China.
