Joy Children’s English School in Luoyang China is in URGENT NEED of native English speaking teachers for its FOUR schools within the city. We need qualified teachers who can act quickly and come within the next 6 to 8 weeks. We currently have four full-time teachers but because of expansion and gorwth we are in urgent need of a larger teaching staff.

This is a well-paid opportunity to teach English (18-20 hours a week), and you also have the opportunity to study Chinese and experience Chinese culture. Joy School offers numerous excellent benefits, as it hopes to attract the best and brightest potential teachers.

Here is some technical information about the positions available:

Ø The starting salary is 5,500 RMB per month; with a 400RMB bonus if all classes and work are completed that month. Thus making the monthly salary an amount of 5,900 RMB/month, (Equivalent to $867 USD).
The cost of living in Luoyang is extremely low so 5,500 RMB is enough to live quite comfortably.

Ø Our teachers teach a maximum of 20 hours/week - generally less.

Ø We provide our teachers with a fully furnished apartment. It includes things such as;
A western style kitchen and bathroom, TV and DVD player, and computer with ADSL High-Speed Internet access, telephone, air conditioning, and fully equipped kitchen. Your apartment is guaranteed to be clean, pleasant, and fully livable. We would be happy to send pictures of the apartment for you to view.

Ø You get 5 weeks of fully paid vacation per year, plus the option of additional unpaid leave of absence.

Ø $1,200 Airfare reimbursement for a 1-year contract.

Ø Other perks include:

4. A Monthly medical allowance of 300 RMB, to be used for any and all medical expenses.
5. Accident insurance in China for the duration of your contract.

7. A Local tourism card, which allows you to visit many local tourist sites for free.

We are looking for intelligent and enthusiastic native English speakers who truly want to discover Chinese culture and work with fantastic children. Joy School teachers work in one school where they can build relationships with their students and Chinese co-teachers (a native Chinese teacher fluent in English is present for every class). Furthermore, classes are capped at 18 students, and are generally significantly smaller, so class control is manageable. Joy School will assist with all visa, work permit and resident permit issues before you come to China
