Immediate Teaching Position in Harbin, China

Any teachers who are already in China or Harbin are a first priority right now. We are seeking someone to arrive here by October 13th if possible or soon there after. Otherwise we are still seeking teachers for within the next couple of months.

We are seeking Native English Speakers from Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, America or Ireland. The candidates must already have either a college degree or TESOL certificate. Teachers who are already in China who have successfully completed their contract with their present school are welcome to apply.

Joy School provides you with full training including a seminar style program, one-on-one training, guidance and support from a wide variety of foreigner and Chinese teachers, who love to help, and all the materials you'll need to become great teachers. For those of you with little or no teaching experience this is a super opportunity. Any teaching experience is a bonus although not necessary. All candidates should be responsible, hard working, energetic, creative and fun loving to teach English to children ages five to 12.

The atmosphere here is very light-hearted and fun but we are dedicated to providing the best education for our students. Joy's motto and approach to teaching is; 'Learning is Fun.' This is obvious when you watch the smiling faces of both teachers and students in the classroom as they laugh and play games while still learning English.

Joy is a private school and classes are held on weekday evenings and weekends. Because of this schedule there is a lot of free time during the week. It’s a great opportunity for those of you who have hobbies, like to experience new things or just enjoy relaxing but have never had the time.

Joy salary is quite competitive starting at 6000RMB for the first two months of work with two 500RMB increases within the first year. For teachers who extend their initial one-year contracts you can look forward to 500RMB increases every six months to a ceiling of 9000RMB. Your teaching hours will not exceed 20 per week. At the completion of the initial one-year contract you will receive a 12,000RMB bonus based on attendance.

Accommodations are provided in a safe and secure building. All amenities are private, not shared and, yes, we have western styled toilets.
