Academic staff - Teaching and Curriculum Development - HCMC, Vietnam

The successful candidate will carry out the tasks assigned to him/her from the company’s Board of Directors related to academic teaching and curriculum development. He/she will develop and implement various ELT curricula and ELT test prep packages, as well as related teacher training programs, targeted at different customer profiles based on their needs and objectives.
The employee may also be requested to conduct academic work (other than ELT qualifications test prep) related to other international curricula as may be adopted by the company from time to time.

• Full time job.
• Location: HCMC, Viet Nam.
• Salary: Negotiable
• Provided: Health insurance and Social insurance from Vietnam Government after having a work permit, Syllabus material, work permit application fee, visa sponsor letter (where applicable).
• Holiday & annual leave: 22 days per year (10 public holidays and 12 days annual leave).
• Attendance and intensive bonus (where applicable).

• Native speaker or Vietnamese with Bachelor’s degree, or a Master in TESOL is an advantage.
• Vietnamese candidates: IELTS 7.0 or equivalent
• Teaching certificate (TESOL, CELTA, or TEFL).
• Previous experience in designing course syllabus, choosing course materials and implementing the syllabus to a team of teaching staff.
• Strong knowledge of ELT resources.
• Previous experience in developing and teaching prep courses for IELTS and/or other ELT qualifications preferred.
• Clear background check.
• Experience working in academic environment; Possess qualities of diligence, flexibility, open-mindedness, cultural sensitivity and patience.

• Research and stay up-to-date with common local and international English assessment qualifications
• Understand market needs through conducting market research and participating in a continuous dialogue with customers
• Design test prep curricula and packages based on customers needs and objectives
• Research and develop teaching materials, test prep resources and supplementary materials for test prep packages.
• Create and deliver teacher training programmes aimed at familiarizing internal and external parties with how to use the test prep packages and test prep resources.
• Review and revise existing curricula and materials on a quarterly/biannual/annual basis or when revisions are required to reflect changes in the test or the prep products
• Other academic tasks as may be requested by the company from time to time.
• Other tasks assigned by the Board of Directors
