The Adjunct Faculty Member is expected to work collaboratively with the Program Director, Campus Dean and academic support programs to facilitate student success and strengthen the reputation of the university by promoting excellence through curriculum development and delivery. Active participation in departmental, campus and college committees is required.

The Director of Admissions is expected to oversee a young, local staff and coordinate with the various active programs: Stratford Language Institute (SLI), Foundation Program, Undergraduate Program and Graduate Program.

English Professor and English Instructor

Responsibilities

• Transform course objectives and course materials into useful learning activities for students
• Engage students in the learning process and accommodate for varied learning styles and developmental levels within the classroom/program
• Acknowledge learners’ cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Manage classroom behavior in ways that maximize learning
• Maintain class schedules and instructional integrity through adherence to curriculum
• Maintain appropriate records related to students including attendance, grades, and other documents and ensure their delivery to the appropriate administrator in a timely manner
• Assist the ESL students in gaining an understanding of American culture
Qualifications

Credentials for Academic Courses

• MA in TESOL, TEFL, English, Linguistics, Foreign Languages, or a related field
• Experience (minimum: supervised practicum)

Credentials for Personal Development and Professional Courses

• Degree required; related field to TESOL preferred
• TEFL, CELTA, or TESOL certificate if degree is outside of related fields
• Teaching experience required; business experience preferred

Director of Admissions

Responsibilities

The Director will provide leadership, strategic direction, budget management, and staff supervision for all operations related to student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and financial aid for the School of Education. The Director will be fully engaged in all aspects of the university and will be able to speak knowledgeably about institutional values, opportunities, and strengths. This is a full-time, administrative, exempt position that reports to the Chairman of the Board. The successful candidate will have demonstrated and excellent leadership skills, especially with leading and managing staff in a positive and collaborative way. The Director will have a strong understanding of recruitment, admissions, and enrollment processes and trends related to developing and achieving ambitious enrollment goals. This person will lead an operation that uses technology and best practices in the recruitment process as a function of a progressive recruitment and enrollment environment. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, strong marketing and technology skills, and demonstrated success in collaborating with all levels of the institution are required. The Director is responsible for the development and implementation of sophisticated strategic enrollment management plans that meet targeted enrollment goals and attracts an exemplary, diverse student body. The Director must be comfortable collecting, analyzing and utilizing data and data management systems to effectively recruit, admit, enroll and retain graduate and undergraduate students. Additionally, the Director will work closely with the Chairman of the board, staff members in Admissions and Enrollment Services, and faculty program coordinators in academic programs to establish priorities and develop processes to achieve established goals in line with the School of Education’s new strategic plan.

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in education, social sciences, business, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of successful leadership experience in the area graduate and/or undergraduate admissions enrollment, and recruitment.
