English and Spanish Teachers for Global Voyage

Calling all teachers with a passion for peace-building and adventure! GET, Peace Boat's language training programme, is now accepting applications for volunteer English and Spanish language teachers for Peace Boat's 101st Global Voyage.

The 101st Voyage will circumnavigate the globe, visiting 21 ports in 17 countries, departing Yokohama April 20th 2019 and returning to Yokohama August 1st 2019. You must also be able to participate in the orientation which is scheduled to begin around one week prior to the departure of the first voyage. The deadline for the application is 12:00 JST (Japan Standard Time) on Friday January 4th, 2019.

National interviews are scheduled to be held on January 19-20 (Saturday and Sunday) at the GET Office in Tokyo, Japan. Interviews for overseas applicants will be conducted via Skype between January 17-24, 2019.

Conditions of Employment:
This position is for enthusiastic, highly motivated, dynamic individuals with a minimum of 18 full-time months teaching experience. Applicants should be highly advanced speakers of English or Spanish, although it is not necessary to be a 'native' or 'first-language' speaker. Certification or graduate degree and multi-language abilities are highly regarded. This is a volunteer position, but voyage expenses are covered.
