English Program Coordinator Position in San José, Costa Rica

PLEASE READ REQUIREMENTS BELOW CAREFULLY! If you do not possess the qualifications listed, please do not apply. You MUST have relevant education/teaching experience. Educational experience is not optional.

• University degree
• Certification preferred(ESL, TESOL, TOIEC, CELTA) and experience teaching English (at least 2 years)
• Native English speaker
• Intermediate Spanish speaking skills
• Willing to commit for at least 2 years

Qualities necessary for the position:
• Personable/sociable
• Excellent communication skills--able to give feedback and objective criticism as well as able to promote a strong sense of community
• Proactive
• Flexible/adaptable
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks quickly
• Able to work as a team and manage a team
• Able to plan special events (if no experience, willing to learn)
• Able to work under pressure in a variety of situations
• Able to take and immediately implement feedback
• Willing and available to teach in emergency situations

• Relevant experience in management of personnel
