Our summer schools are most residential and offer academic courses along with an extensive programme of excursions and group activities. Our flagship Young Leaders programme is designed to give students an opportunity to develop new leadership skills and build confidence through hands-on learning and cultural immersion. We also design and deliver other bespoke programs such as environment-focused/ green-tech, industry visits, university visits, robotics/STEM, university prep course, film-making, music programs.
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, flexible and highly experienced Asia-Pacific Regional Sales & Marketing Manager to be based in BlueSky Singapore office (Suntec City). In this important and high profile position the successful candidate will represent BlueSky Education Group internationally, manage existing agent relationships and develop new partnerships. The successful applicant will play a direct role in the achievement of the Summer School’s targets for international student recruitment. The Asia-Pacific Regional Sales & Marketing Manager will work closely with BlueSky Education Senior Management Team. This role requires overseas travel and a high level of professionalism as well as relevant sales experience. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills are essential for this post.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with Senior Management and global sales team to develop and oversee BlueSky Education U.K. sales & marketing function and student bookings, with a focus on Asia-Pacific markets. Overseas business travels mainly in Asia-Pacific will be necessary.
Provide strategic oversight for the commercial and admissions to BlueSky Education UK programmes as well as other global programs by developing strategies to target new international student markets and maintain and grow existing ones as part of the strategic objectives
Manage student recruitment and marketing activities in diverse markets in accordance with agreed targets
Maintain and develop relationships with study-abroad agencies , schools , english language centres in Asia-Pacific markets with the aim to recruit students to BlueSky global programmes.
Research target markets and analyse sector data in order to strategically develop marketing and recruitment plans
Cultivate and maintain a network of student recruitment agents by successfully managing existing agent relationships and developing new ones
Ensure that agent partners receive an excellent service, encouraging them to continue to work with us and to increase their bookings
Maintain positive relationships and offer first class levels of communication with all BlueSky Education stakeholders
Manage the student booking process, payments, bedding plan and airport transfers process with the camps general Administrators
Chase outstanding payments from parents and agents and manage agents’ commission payments
Attend exhibitions, student & agent fairs, workshops and conferences, both at home and abroad, as part of the student recruitment process
Be responsible for the coordination, implementation and further development of the annual cycle of marketing and recruitment activity
Undertake direct marketing activities
Work with the Course Director in developing the our programmes through customer feedback and market changes
Produce high quality, impactful marketing and communication, including brochures and factsheets
Take responsibility for the content and appearance of the Summer School website and promotional materials
Develop and maintain the BlueSky Education presence through social media including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, ensuring there are sufficient photographs and videos taken and that social media platforms are updated
Maintain a good knowledge of compliance issues, including UKBA Visitor Visa and Extended Visitor Visa regulations plus British Council and other compliance requirements
Respond professionally to complex enquiries from prospective students and their parents and agents, offering advice on qualifications and programme choices and being able to advise at all stages of the student recruitment cycle
Assist with all Summer School staff recruitment & excursion bookings
DURING CAMPS RUNS:
Responsible for responding to parent and agent queries/calls and visits in a professional manner and be in regular contact with agents and parents and requesting key information (e.g. flight arrivals and departures) liaising with key staff members as necessary (e.g. Airport Co-ordinator)
Complete agent and parent tours as required
Plan student feedback / survey procedure, manages entire process and collates results over the summer and present weekly student survey results to department managers

Degree level or equivalent
Relevant sales experience in education or educational travel industry
Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to adapt style in relation to differing stakeholder groups
Commercially minded with experience maintaining international partner relationships, you will have a background in customer service and international marketing
Previous experience in an international summer school setting
Demonstrate an international outlook and be sensitive to foreign cultures
Reliable, enthusiastic, highly organised and able to work unsupervised with excellent attention to detail
Proactive and self-motivated
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Good-humoured with the desire to achieve the highest standards
Flexibility and adaptable to changing circumstances and requirements
The ability and willingness to work long hours over the summer in a very demanding role, including evenings and weekends
Professional Marketing qualification and/or relevant leadership experience
Extensive networks of overseas agencies and schools especially previous working experience with agencies in China is preferred
Previous budget management experience
Previous experience of staff recruitment
Excellent knowledge of social media and the ability to develop and manage social media
Understanding of the needs of a thriving and busy school environment

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
This position is offered as a permanent, full-time contract commencing August or September 2018. Exact start date to be confirmed.
The Asia-Pacific Regional Marketing Manager will work 5 days per week Monday to Friday. The hours are 9:00am to 6:00pm (40 hours per week) with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. There may be a requirement for out of hours work, which will include evenings and weekends. Time off in lieu will be given for any additional hours worked.
The salary is dependent on candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience. Year-end performance-based bonus is awarded depending on the candidate’s performance and the company’s overall profitability.
