Brunei - Secondary English Language Teachers Needed - End of March

As part of a government funded initiative, we are hiring licensed secondary English Language teachers to work within MOE schools in Brunei to teach English to secondary students, starting at the end of March 2018. In addition, we have one opportunity for a Primary Literacy Coach and one opportunity for a Secondary Numeracy (Math) Coach - coaches mentor local teachers.

Please note - all applicants must be government licensed teachers with citizenship from the following countries: UK, CAN, IRE, AUS, NZ, SA. (Sorry - no visas available for Americans for teaching roles - however Americans are welcome to apply for the Coach roles. )

All applicants must have 3 years of teaching experience after receiving a valid state/provincial/PGCE/SACE teaching license. Brunei Darussalam is a small, peaceful country on the island of Borneo in South East Asia. It is surrounded by pristine tropical jungle and beaches with temperatures around 27 - 30C degrees all year.

1) Degree from a university in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, or South Africa (Americans are welcome to apply for the coaching roles)

2) Qualified teacher status/teacher accreditation (PGCE, Bed, or equivalent.)

TESL/CELTA/TESOL not applicable.

3) Minimum 3 years relevant classroom teaching experience post qualification plus EFL/ESL training/experience preferable but not essential. Must have relevant teaching experience within the past 6 months.

4) Under 55 years of age for secondary ELT teachers.

5) Must have valid driver's license and be willing to drive in Brunei

6. Availability to relocate in March 2018.

Please note that for the Primary Literacy Coach position you will be mentoring local teachers. For this role, you must have significant leadership experience mentoring or leading teachers. If interested in this role, please put 'Brunei - Literacy Coach' in the subject line of your e-mail.
