We are currently seeking high-­quality, native English-speaking curriculum development and e-learning experts who are familiar with a needs-based, task-based approach to instruction. The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with a team whose collective work is changing how people around the world learn English. Our ideal candidate will have significant experience developing and adapting authentic materials for online English language instruction as well as experience teaching English as a Second Language in a virtual, online environment.

Voxy is used by a variety of customers and users, from private language schools, to corporations, to individual consumers. Our approach entails working very closely with our customers to ensure that they reach their own business goals and their learners meet their language acquisition goals. We do this by dedicating resources to understanding our customers’ requirements every step of the way. In order to achieve this, we are seeking the unique individual who can translate customer needs and KPIs into the learner experience.

Similar to a Sales Engineer, the Academic Success Manager will work closely with Voxy’s Sales and Customer Success teams to conduct learning needs assessments and identify customer requirements in terms of the holistic learner experience from course materials to live instruction requirements. He/she will be responsible for communicating and implementing customer requirements as well as executing on daily content development projects including syllabus and curriculum design for ESP, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, and general English courses. He/she will be an expert in using our state-of-the-art content publishing tool as well as collaborating with the team to conceive of improvements to the tool and methods. Understanding and communicating Voxy’s pedagogical approach and how to apply it in both content development and instructional settings will be key to success in this role. The Academic Success Manager will act as a liaison between the Pedagogy team and our customers.

Academic Success Manager Job Duties:

Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand learner experience requirements
Plans and modifies ESL courses, content, live online classes, product offerings, etc., to meet customer needs
Communicates with partners and the product team to manage the prioritization and timelines of feature requests
Helps clients solve problems with learner experience
Prepares cost estimates by consulting with pedagogy experts, engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel
Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of product/technology, equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer experience; engineering or proposing changes in product, processes, or use of materials or services
Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements
Trains customer staff by providing learner experience information and product training
Contributes to pedagogy and product effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives
Oversee and execute curriculum development and operations of courses and customer curriculum alignments to ensure 100% of requirements are met
Recruit, hire, train, and manage subject matter experts (SMEs) required for custom curricula projects
Conduct curriculum quality assurance and incorporate feedback from customers and internal stakeholders
Collaborate with Pedagogy team members to ensure curriculum and live instruction experiences are closely integrated
Academic Success Manager Skills and Qualifications:

Native English speaker + excellent language competence
5-7+ years of ESL teaching experience
CELTA or TEFL certificate
MA in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education, or similar
Curriculum design expertise
Selling to Customer Needs
Requirements Analysis
Extreme attention to detail
Excellent communications skills
Problem Solving
Product Development
Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
